What is Bill Pay?

Bill Pay is a fast and easy way to pay your bills from within the ONE app. You can select from thousands of merchants or add a Biller that isn’t in the directory. You can even take a picture of your bill for an even easier experience. Bill Pay saves you time from going in person to make a payment, logging into complex biller websites, or writing checks to pay for things like utilities, medical, and credit card bills. The Bill Pay feature in the ONE app is powered by Papaya Pay.

How do I access Bill Pay?

  • Open the ONE app
  • Select the Cash Control button
  • Choose for Pay Bill 
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to pay a listed merchant, scan a bill using your phone camera, upload a photo from your phone, or add your Biller details manually

How does Bill Pay work?

When you send a Bill Pay payment to a merchant or company listed in the biller directory, an electronic payment is sent to them on the payment date. If entering a Biller manually, a check will be mailed to the Biller via USPS mail. The funds for the bill payment will be deducted from your Checking balance as soon as you submit the payment.

You can send a bill payment right away or schedule a bill payment up to 6 months in advance. If you schedule a bill payment in the future, the funds will not be withdrawn from your account until the scheduled payment date.

How long does it take to process a payment made with Bill Pay?

Bill Pay payments will be processed on the scheduled date and payment will be made directly to the Biller from your ONE account. 

  • If you select a Biller from the Bill Pay directory, the payment will be processed electronically and should arrive to the Biller within 1-3 business days. 
  • If you provide the Biller’s information and send a check payment, the payment will be mailed to the merchant via USPS mail. It generally takes 5-10 business days to be received and processed by the Biller.

How do I check the status of my Bill Pay?

You can check the status of your payments in the Bill Pay section of the ONE app and in the details of the Bill Pay transaction on your Checking Tab. You will be able to see when the payment is In progress, canceled, or paid directly in the ONE app.

How can I cancel or edit a scheduled Bill Pay?

You can cancel a scheduled Bill Pay up until the payment is processed on the scheduled date. If available, you will be able to cancel the bill payment from the Bill Pay section of the ONE app. 

Is there a fee to use Bill Pay?

Direct Deposit Customers can use Bill Pay fee-free. To celebrate the introduction of this new feature, even non-Direct Deposit Customers will not be charged a fee for Bill Pay until November 30, 2023. After that, non-Direct Deposit Customers will be charged a $3 Bill Pay Fee, for each Bill Pay transaction. 

Can I schedule a recurring Bill Pay? 

You cannot schedule an automatic recurring Bill Pay, however, you can schedule a Bill Pay payment for a specific date or up to 6 months in the future.
