How do I sign up for Credit Builder?
Credit Builder is only available to One Cash customers with One Cash+ benefits. If you already have a One Cash account and are receiving One Cash+ benefits, open the One app and navigate to the Home tab. In the “Discover More” section (globe icon), select the Credit Builder banner and start the application.
If eligible, you can also tap here to apply.
If you do not have a One Cash account, download the One app and select Join One. From there, you will be able to sign up for Credit Builder once you unlock One Cash+ benefits by receiving $500+ in monthly eligible direct deposits.
What is the minimum income required to sign up for Credit Builder?
There’s no minimum income requirement; however, you will need to unlock One Cash+ benefits by receiving at least $500+ in monthly eligible direct deposits in order to sign up for Credit Builder.
Will there be a hard inquiry to my credit if I sign up?
There is no hard inquiry when you apply for and open a Credit Builder loan, but you may see a soft inquiry on your credit history. Soft inquiries will not have a negative effect on your credit score.
Will I be denied if I have bad or no credit?
We won’t deny anyone based on a low credit score or prior credit history. Previous account history at One may impact your eligibility for Credit Builder and restrictions placed on your credit report (like a credit freeze) may impact availability.
Why was I denied Credit Builder?
You’ll receive an email which will explain the reason(s) for our decision. If you haven’t received this message please contact us or say Agent in chat, and we’ll resend it to you.
What eligibility requirements do I have to meet to apply for Credit Builder?
You must be eligible for One Cash+ benefits, be 18 years of age (21 if living in Mississippi), and live outside of Massachusetts.
If I am denied, how long do I need to wait before I can sign up again?
You can reapply at any time as long as you are eligible for One Cash+ benefits.
What if my credit is frozen or locked?
To unfreeze your credit report temporarily or permanently, you'll need to contact the credit bureaus since the action must be taken by the bureaus directly. Some bureaus can lift the freeze in a few hours, while others might take 1-2 days.
